Sermon: The Strength to Dream

Theme: Our strength to see differently comes from knowing that Christ’s love and justice will be with us at all times.

Purpose: We will examine our need to draw strength from Christ’s justice in the midst of turmoil.

Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 1:3-9 Strength from God in Jesus Christ for the trials that we will face.
Mark 13:24-37 The signs of the coming of the Son of Man.

Questions:
What does it mean to us that “the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light? How should we respond to these types of “cosmic” warnings? What is our way of preparing ourselves for difficulties and stress? How are we strengthened in the knowledge of Christ in the
midst of these types of threats? How do we go about preparing for difficult times without becoming paranoid or irrational? What is the reasonable message within messages about “The day of the Lord?”
