On Sunday February 7th, millions of Americans will tune in to the Super Bowl football game. At the same time, there will be people worrying about staying warm, finding shelter and a warm meal. Please join young people around the country as they demonstrate God’s love by loving their neighbors through the Souper Bowl of Caring. It is a simple, yet significant act of caring for others.
Sunday, February 7 from 12pm to 2pm youth will be collecting your soup, peanut butter, and paper products at the front entrance of the church or you can donate online through the church website. You can drive up and put your money in the soup pot or drop off your food/paper products. All money and items will be donated to the Fond du Lac Food Pantry.
Our young people are developing hearts for giving that can last a lifetime. Please support their efforts. Since the Souper Bowl of Caring began in 1990, more than $163 million has been raised for local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around the Big Game into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving. Over the years, PYA at the First Presbyterian Church Fond du Lac have collected $5470 and 1478 food items in conjunction to Souper Bowl of Caring. All money and food collected will stay right here in the Fond du Lac area. Last year we donated 104 food items and $450 to the Fond du Lac Food Pantry. Please support the youth of our church in this effort to “love our neighbors” on February 7th.
