Sermon: “Putting on Christ”
Theme: We choose to be citizens of heaven and to live in the mind of gratitude for the grace of God.
Purpose: We will learn to choose to be aligned with forgiveness and gratitude.
Scriptures: Philippians 4:1-9 What ever is pleasing, what ever is true, whatever is honorable, think about these things.
Matthew 22:1-14 The parable of the wedding banquet and the man who was not properly attired.
Questions:
If we are “saved by grace” then what role does our actions and good works play? How do we “live into” being Christian? How does our behavior and manner enable us to share in Christ’s love? What are the consequences of being disrespectful and hostile? How does setting our minds on Christ influence our relationships? What is it that God expects of us in response to the love and grace that Christ has given us? What happens if we live in ways that are self-centered and hostile? How do we properly respond to the grace and love of Christ?
