July 13 Worship

Join us for 9 am worship as Rev. Dr. Craig Alwin shares the sermon, “Loving Our Neighbor.” Below are questions to consider for Worship.

  • Most people are familiar with what it means to be a “Good Samaritan.” What details of the Biblical account are not as familiar to you?
  • How is the meaning of the Biblical story impacted when read in connection with the response of the 72 joyously telling about their experiences?
  • What does the Samaritan’s compassion have to do with the lawyer’s desire to “prove that he was right” about gaining eternal life? Was the lawyer right?
  • What are practical ways we demonstrate mercy that assure us of eternal life?
