Join us as Rev. Dr. Craig Alwin leads us in 9 am worship with the sermon, “Foreign Faith.” Here are a few things to consider in preparation for worship on Sunday:
- What did it mean for someone to be called a “Samaritan” and what does it mean for Jesus to be traveling “along the border between Samaria and Galilee”?
- What does Luke intend to mean by being “healed” or “saved” in verse 19? Is this only physical, or might it be more?
- What is the difference between verses 14 & 15, where all 10 were “cleansed”?
- What sets apart the one who returned to Jesus from the rest who were also cleansed?
- What might be some “Samaritan healings” of our day – how God chooses to heal those we have been taught are outsiders, aliens, and foreigners?
