October 6 Worship World Communion Sunday

This Sunday, October 6 we celebrate World Communion Sunday. The first Sunday in October is designated as World Communion Sunday, which celebrates our oneness in Christ with all our brothers and sisters around the world. Join us as Rev. Dr. Craig Alwin leads us in 9 am Worship with a sermon entitled “Meaningful Connections.” Here are a few things to consider in preparation for worship on Sunday:

  • How many deeply meaningful relationships do you have?
  • When was the last time someone spoke a hard truth into your life? Was it done with love?
  • When was the last time you confessed sin to someone you felt safe within this community?
  • When was the last time you prayed with someone over an issue of needs or discernment in this body?
  • What is the primary story around which we shape our lives?
  • How has increased mobility impacted our view of being the church?
